The Future of the VCM:
Problems & Likely Outcomes

Net Zero Markets, AirCarbon Exchange & EEX Group

The final webinar in this series on corporate offsetting looked ahead to what lies in store for voluntary carbon markets. It explored the importance that additionality will have as corporates become ever choosier about the projects they are willing to invest in. How will the standard setters ensure supply can keep up with demand and avoid bottlenecks? It also looked at what rating companies do and how they differ as well as diving into the different organisations trying to oversee the integrity of the sector. The session also drilled into removals and explained why this sector needs to scale up massively if 2050 ambitions and legal mandates are to be met.
