Peter Knowles Appointed advisor to Net Zero Markets

Net Zero Markets Ltd, a company dedicated to developing risk management, trading and investment products for the global environmental markets, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Knowles as an Advisor.

Mr Knowles is currently the President of Financial Machines, a climate tech company providing intelligent software to manage risk and maximize revenue for energy storage and renewables assets. He has 25 years of experience in the commodities markets in Europe and the United States. With a focus on power markets, he has worked across financial institutions, energy trading firms and utility companies. Prior to joining Financial Machines in 2021, he was a Managing Director at Barclays where he worked for 20 years in New York and London. During that time he held senior management roles in Commodities, Strategy and Finance.

During his tenure at Barclays, he pioneered several innovative products including, hedging for power plants not yet constructed, corporate power asset secured hedging facilities, and the first bilateral transaction under California’s Cap and Trade scheme.

Commenting on the appointment Louis Redshaw CEO of Net Zero Markets, said: “I am delighted to welcome Peter to Net Zero Markets. Peter brings deep expertise in the commodities markets, including experience in building and scaling global businesses. His knowledge will help guide our strategy, sales efforts and product launches starting with the Global Emission Reduction (GER).”
